Acidification is a hot topic. Especially as we get older, a lot of emotional stress can build up, which can make us feel sour. This then manifests physically in the body as a way of alerting us. Many people are also familiar with the use of CDH/CDS/CDL to introduce oxygen and neutralise acids. But there is more I can do alongside this, which I describe here. It is another way of doing something good for my body.
Preparation:
How do I prepare for a baking soda shower?
I put some fine bicarbonate of soda in a container. I use about 3 grams.
When showering with bicarbonate of soda, this very fine powder It isn’t actually used for washing itself, although in theory you could do that. Rather, it’s about refreshing and deacidifying the skin after a shower. The finer the bicarbonate of soda powder, the better it is absorbed by the skin.
So, once I’ve finished showering, I wipe the water off as best I can with my hands.
This is important so that the skin is still moist, but no longer dripping wet.
Then I put some bicarbonate of soda on my slightly damp hands and rub it in. I then rub it into my skin, which is still damp.
How do I dry my body afterwards?
A quick way to dry your hair is to use a hairdryer. However, simply letting it air-dry is also an effective method.
How can I tell when the bicarbonate of soda is working?
I can tell the bicarbonate of soda is being absorbed when I wash my hands. I notice that it feels a bit greasy. That’s exactly the same sensation I get when I apply it to my skin whilst it’s damp. Even after washing several times, I can still feel that greasy sensation. Not permanently, of course. But even after washing with water up to two times, it’s still noticeable.
The experience after a shower
A refreshing sensation and a white film appear on the skin. It feels a bit like after a swim in the salty sea. This shows me that the bicarbonate of soda has penetrated the skin and is working its magic.
I’ll now leave the bicarbonate of soda on my skin, where it will help to further alkalise it.
Further experience
I have tried using bicarbonate of soda after using a sauna you find here.
To boost my energy even more, I use Himalayan salt socks. I’ve written about this here.
All love
Sebastian
