Acidification is a hot topic these days. Especially as we get older, a lot of emotional stress builds up, which can make us feel sour. This then manifests physically in the body as a way of signaling it to us. Many people are also unaware that introducing oxygen to neutralize acids through CDH/CDS/CDL . But there’s more I can do besides that, which I’ll describe here. It’s another way to do something good for my body.
How do I use baking soda to neutralize acidity after showering?
In addition to deacidification through the intake of baking soda mixed with water or taken in enteric-coated capsules—which I describe elsewhere—there is also an external application that I always use after showering.
Preparation:
How do I prepare for a baking soda shower?
I’ll add some fine baking soda in a container. I use about 3 grams.
Before showering, I warm up the room so it’s comfortable and my body dries faster, since I don’t dry off with a towel when using this method. If I want to speed things up, after showering and applying baking soda to my damp skin, I use a hair dryer to dry off faster.
Usage – Shower with Baking Soda for Deacidification
When showering with baking soda, it very fine baking soda powder It’s not meant to be used for washing itself—though theoretically, you could do that. Rather, it’s intended to refresh and deacidify the skin after showering. The finer the baking soda powder is, the better it is absorbed into the skin.
So when I’m done showering, I wipe the water off as best I can with my hands.
This is important so that the skin is still moist, but no longer dripping wet.
Then I put some baking soda powder on my slightly damp hands and rub it between my hands. Then I rub it into my skin, which is still damp.
How do I dry my body afterward?
A quick way to dry your body is to use a hair dryer. But simply letting it air dry is also an effective method.
How can I tell when the baking soda is being absorbed?
I can tell that the baking soda is being absorbed when I wash my hands. That’s when I notice that it feels a little greasy. That’s exactly the same feeling I get when I apply it to my skin while it’s still damp. Even after washing my hands several times, I still notice that it feels greasy. Not permanently, of course. But even after washing my hands with water up to two times, I can still feel it.
The Experience After a Shower
A refreshing sensation and a white film appear on my skin. It feels similar to after a swim in salty seawater. This shows me that the baking soda has penetrated the skin and is working.
I’ll leave the baking soda on my skin for now, where it will help further alkalize it.
Additional Experience
I’ve tried using baking soda after using a sauna described here .
To get even more energy, I use Himalayan saltsocks. I’ve written about this topic described here .
All the best
Sebastian
